(St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, Oct. 24, 2002) . . . . . . . . The Arts Alive holiday Arts and Crafts Festival, a long running, highly respected and accepted program with an excellent reputation, has ushered in the holiday shopping season on St.Thomas for 22 years. Traditionally held at Tillett Gardens, Rhoda Tillett needed more time for herself and has placed the future of the holiday event in the hands of someone who can give it new life, new energies.
Pamela Wilson, owner of directions@compasspoint, a small business support service, took up the challenge and Compass Point Marina on St. Thomas has been designated the new home of the Annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Festival. The event will be Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. This move will give the event more room, additional parking, and maximum visibility. The dinghy dock at Compass Point Marina has been made available for the convenience of boaters who will be exhibiting or just attending the event.
Exhibitors can reserve space by contacting Pamela Wilson at 340/715-0600 or pamelawilson@vitelcom.net.
This is an opportunity for visitors to pick the best of the hand crafted products of folk art, artifacts, pottery, silver and gold jewelry, locally made fragrances, photography, wood carvings, and an endless array of goods available only on St. Thomas. Compass Point Marina is handicapped accessible has ample parking. For information call Pamela Wilson, 340/715-0600 pamelawilson@vitelcom.net, or Norita Lee, 340/775-9112, noritalee@islands.vi.
